This is a free event, but we encourage attendees to make a $5 donation to National Park Partners. This will directly support their mission of championing the conservation of the natural, historic, and cultural resources of Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park, including Moccasin Bend National Archeological District. Join National Park Partners for an after-work walk at Moccasin Bend National Archeological District, following the Brown’s Ferry/Federal Road Trace. This unique 1.2-mile roundtrip trail traverses layers of history, serving as a Trail of Tears segment in 1838; the US Army supply route during the Civil War; and more. About one hour from start to finish, we'll walk from the road to the river and share the stories of Moccasin Bend's 12,000 year history along the way.
